India's vaccination coverage had expanded to 90% before Covid-19 pandemic hit: PM Modi
India Today
PM Modi said that 23 crore people have been given the Covid-19 vaccine in the country so far.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Monday said that the vaccination coverage in India, which was 60 per cent when he took office in 2014, had jumped to 90 per cent before the coronavirus pandemic hit in 2020. Addressing the nation, the prime minister said that a new health infrastructure has been developed in the country since the pandemic began. The prime minister, without naming the UPA government, said that at that speed it could have taken another 40 years to complete vaccinations in the country. Modi said that India has so far vaccinated 23 crore people with the Covid-19 vaccine because of clear, transparent policy and the country's faith in the scientific community.More Related News
