India’s oldest student to pass Class 4 equivalent exam passes away at 107

Bhagheerathy Amma, who became the oldest person to clear the Class 4 equivalent examination, has passed away at the age of 107.

Bharati Nareesakthi award winner Bhagheerathy Amma, a native of Prakkulam in the Kollam district of Kerala, passed away today, July 23, in the morning. She was 107 years old. Bhagheerathy Amma had cleared her fourth standard equivalency examination at the age of 105. In the exam conducted by the Kerala literacy mission, Bhagheerathy Amma passed with 75 percent marks in Class 4.
