India's journey in Tests since South Africa 2017/18: Dominating Australia, England; WTC final disappointment
India Today
Since their 2017/18 series in South Africa, India have won three of the five completed bilateral Test series they have played away from home, losing once in England and in New Zealand and losing the World Test Championship final to the Kiwis in England.
India's last series in South Africa came after they had dominated Australia, England, New Zealand and Sri Lanka at home and began a cycle of away tours all around the world. While they lost the 2017/18 series in South Africa 2-1, their victory in the last Test came on a treacherous pitch with the Proteas boasting the likes of Morne Morkel, Kagiso Rabada and Vernon Philander in their pace battery.
AB de Villiers, who played a major role in South Africa, would later say that "India played the better cricket" overall in the series.
