Ever since India’s Got Talent Season 9 began, viewers have been left amazed and mesmerised by the performances of the beatboxer and flautist duo - Divyansh Kacholia and Manuraj Singh Rajput. From the judges, guests to viewers, they were praised by everyone alike. So, it did not come as a surprise when Divyansh and Manuraj won IGT9. In an exclusive chat with IndiaToday.in, Divyansh and Manuraj recalled special moments on the show and spoke about how they were pretty confident of winning the IGT.
Speaking about winning India's Got Talent 9, Manuraj Singh Rajput said, "We are elated. I used to do shows as an instrumentalist, but now we have got the recognition - me as a flute player and Divyansh as a beatboxer. The response is overwhelming and I still can't believe that we have won."
Both Divyansh and Manuraj, who hail from Rajasthan, were confident about winning India’s Got Talent. “To be honest, we were expecting it because we had put our 100 per cent effort and we were very consistent from the beginning.” said Divyansh, who was inspired by Bulgarian beatboxer SkilleR. Meanwhile, Manuraj added that earlier he was a little scared but even since they got the first golden buzzer for their first performance, he was confident about winning the show, because something like this had not been done on a reality show before.”
Recalling a special moment on the show, Manuraj, who is Pandit Hariprasad Chaurasia's student, shared, “One of the most memorable moments of the show was when Jackie Shroff came as a guest. Guruji (Pandit Hariprasad Chaurasia) sent us two flutes. We were going to perform Hero's music, which was originally played by Guruji and Jackie sir rose to fame because of that flute rendition. Guruji had sent his blessing through a video and had asked me to play the flute gifted by him and asked me to play better than him, which was his modesty. I was very nervous as it was a big responsibility. But the performance was received well and that episode went viral.”
The second memorable moment for Manuraj was when Rohit Shetty came on the show. “When Rohit Shetty sir came on our show, he was so impressed, he offered us to make the theme music of Cirkus.” Divyansh shared that the work on Cirkus music has begun. The film stars Ranveer Singh in the lead role.
Both Divyansh and Manuraj might belong to two different genres of music, but together they created magic on the stage. Speaking about collaborating with Manuraj, Divyansh said, "Collaborating with Manuraj was fun and entertaining because we are like North and South. But no matter how different we are when it came to music, we are united."
Divyansh and Manur won Rs 20 lakh prize money on the show.
