India's Covid vaccination drive on track so far, but tough road ahead
India Today
The central government told Parliament on July 23 that a total of 135 crore doses of Covid-19 vaccines will be made available across the country between August and December of this year.
With 40.1 lakh doses of Covid-19 vaccines administered each day on average so far, July could be the best month in terms of total doses administered since the beginning of the inoculation drive in India. If the country maintains this pace, it will likely administer 12.4 crore doses by the end of this month. In June, India had administered 11.8 crore doses. Interestingly, the Union Ministry of Health and Family Welfare earlier promised to deliver 12 crore vaccine doses in June and another 12 crore in July across states and UTs.More Related News
