India reported 48,698 new Covid-19 cases and 1,183 deaths in the last 24 hours, informed the Union Health Ministry on Saturday. On the other hand, 64,818 patients recovered during the same time.

Five states which registered maximum cases are Kerala with 11,546 cases, followed by Maharashtra with 9,604 cases, Tamil Nadu with 5,755 cases, Andhra Pradesh with 4,458 cases and Karnataka with 3,310 cases.
