India records 35,342 new Covid cases, 483 deaths; active cases at 4 lakh

India on Friday reported 35,342 new Covid-19 cases, 38,740 recoveries, and 483 deaths in the last 24 hours, the Union Health Ministry data showed.

India recorded 35,342 new Covid-19 cases on Friday, taking the total tally of confirmed coronavirus cases in the country to 3.12 crore. With 483 new fatalities, India's Covid-19 death toll climbed to 4.19 lakh. According to health ministry data on Friday morning, the country recorded 38,740 in the past 24 hours. With this, the recovery rate has improved to over 97 per cent. Up to 42,34,17,030 crore vaccine doses administered so far, the data showed.
