India raises issue of attacks on minorities in Bangladesh

When asked if India raised the issue of the situation of minorities in Bangladesh, Foreign Secretary Harsh Shringla said that all matters of importance were discussed.
President Ram Nath Kovind landed at the Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport in Dhaka on Wednesday for a three-day state visit to Bangladesh from December 15 to 17. He was received by his Bangladeshi counterpart, Abdul Hamid.
His first state visit since the outbreak of the Covid-19 pandemic, President Kovind was “accorded a ceremonial welcome and given a guard of honour at the airport. Thereafter, he visited the National Martyrs’ Memorial in Savar and paid tribute to the martyrs of the Liberation War of Bangladesh.
