India needs drone detection systems to counter future attacks, say experts
India Today
At least two separate incidents of drones being used to target military installations in Jammu have been reported in the last 72 hours. India Today TV Consulting Editor Rajdeep Sardesai speaks to experts to explore how India can counter this new kind of warfare.
Two drones were spotted over the Kaluchak and Ratnuchak military stations in Jammu late Sunday night. Alert security personnel fired at the drones but could not bring them down, said Ministry of Defence (MoD) spokesperson Lt Col Devender Anand. What is even more worrying is that the incident took place less than 24 hours from the attack on the Indian Air Force's technical airport in Jammu. Officials suspect the role of drones in dropping IEDs on the IAF base.More Related News
