India may have to wait longer to extradite Mehul Choksi as the matter has been stuck in legal formalities in Dominica High Court. Top Indian official may visit Dominica next week to discuss possibilities of deportation or extradition of the fugitive businessman.
India may have to wait longer to bring back Mehul Choksi as the deportation or extradition case of the fugitive businessman has become stuck in legalities in Dominica. According to the sources, the Indian authorities are keeping a close eye on the ongoing developments and a senior official may visit Dominica next week to look out for possibilities of deportation or extradition. As per reports, Arun Kumar Sahu, the Indian High Commissioner based in Trinidad and Tobago, is all set to travel to Dominica next week to discuss possibilities of Mehul Choksi’s deportation or extradition to India. Choksi, who has been on the run since January 2018, is wanted by the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) and the Enforcement Directorate (ED) in relation to the Punjab National Bank's Rs 13,000-crore fraud case.More Related News
