India registered 3,545 new cases in the last 24 hours, which is 8.2% higher than yesterday, bringing the total caseload to 4,30,94,938. A total of 27 deaths were also reported in India in the last 24 hours.
India logged a total of 3,545 new Covid-19 cases in the last 24 hours, bringing the total caseload in the country to 4,30,94,938, which is a 8.2% rise from yesterday. As many as 27 deaths were reported in the country in the last 24 hours, increasing the total death count to 5,24,002.
The top five states which have registered maximum cases are Delhi with 1,365 cases, followed by Haryana with 534 cases, Uttar Pradesh with 356 cases, Kerala with 342 cases and Maharashtra with 233 cases.
Among the new cases, 79.82% were reported from these five states, with Delhi alone responsible for 38.5% of the new cases.
On Thursday, Mumbai has recorded 130 new Covid-19 cases, the highest daily rise since February 2022. For the third time in a row, Mumbai has reported cases in triple digits and crossed the 100-mark.
On Wednesday, Mumbai had reported 117 cases and 100 cases the day before. Currently, there are 682 active cases in the city.
A total of 3,549 patients recovered in the last 24 hours, which brings the total recoveries to 4,25,51,248 across the country. India's recovery rate now stands at 98.74%.
India's active caseload stands at 19,688. In the last 24 hours, active cases declined by 31.
