India Today
India tour of England: Hosts England are worried about the fitness of Mark Wood after the express pacer suffered a shoulder injury during their defeat to India at Lord's. The two teams will meet in the 3rd Test at Leeds from August 24.
England are fretting over the availability of pacer Mark Wood for the 3rd Test against India at Trent Bridge, starting August 24 due to a shoulder injury. Coach Chris Silverwood said England will take a call after consulting with the medics closer to the start of the Test but he maintained that he will not push Wood into playing the 3rd Test. The express paceman injured his shoulder while diving to save a boundary on Day 4 of the 2nd Test. Wood landed heavily on his right shoulder while diving headlong into an advertising hoarding. Despite showing discomfort, Wood bowled on Day 5, hitting speeds in excess of 90kmph.More Related News
