India heading towards civil war under BJP rule: RJD’s Lalu Yadav

RJD leader Lalu Prasad Yadav hit out at the BJP, claiming that the country was moving towards a civil war under the saffron party’s rule.
Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) supremo Lalu Prasad Yadav launched a scathing attack against the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) on Sunday, June 5. Lalu Yadav alleged that the country was heading towards civil war under the BJP rule.
The war of words had erupted between RJD leader Lalu Prasad and BJP on the occasion of Sampoorna Kranti Diwas. Various political parties including BJP, JDU, and RJD organised events on the occasion of Sampoorn Kranti Divas in Patna.
Lalu Yadav, who was expected to participate in the Sampoorna Kranti Divas event organised by RJD, did not turn up due to ill health, but sent a video message. The RJD leader first paid tribute to Loknayak Jayaprakash and recalled how he fought against dictatorship 48 years ago when he was a student leader under the leadership of Jayaprakash Narayan.

Lalu Yadav further said that the dictatorship against which he had fought 48 years ago was being witnessed in present day also, and now he is fighting again against the present dictatorial system.
“Today, the situation in the country has become the same again. Dictatorship and wily power want to destroy the brotherhood and unity of our country. The way BJP is working, the country is moving towards civil war. I call upon the people to unite against inflation, unemployment and corruption in the country. We have to fight united. We will win,” Lalu said in his video message.
In response, former Union Minister and Patna Sahib MP Ravi Shankar Prasad hit back at Lalu. Ravi Shankar Prasad also attacked the Lalu family on the issue of corruption.
