Former Team India batting coach Sanjay Bangar explained why left-arm all-rounder Krunal Pandya was preferred ahead of Axar Patel in the first ODI against England on Tuesday. Debutant Krunal's all-round show helped India beat England by 66 runs in the 1st ODI and take a 1-0 lead in the 3-match series in Pune. Playing his first ODI for the national team, Krunal scored 58 not out and picked up a wicket to justify his selection in the playing XI ahead of Axar Patel, who was the 2nd-highest wicket taker in the Test series earlier this month.
