Income tax department raids premises of Kesar Pan masala in Kanpur

The Income Tax Department raided the premises of Kesar Pan masala owner in Uttar Pradesh’s Kanpur on Wednesday.
The Income Tax Department conducted searches at the premises of the owners of Kesar Pan Masala Company in Kanpur on Wednesday.
The searches were also carried out at three other big companies, including Dilbagh tobacco group and India Bulls across India.
These searches were conducted at five places, including the residence of the owner of Pan Masala Company located in Swaroop Nagar, an office in Nayaganj, factory located in Dada Nagar in Kanpur.
Teams of the IT Department reached different places in a planned manner and carried out searches and scrutinised the documents related to the transaction to Embassy Group.
On Wednesday morning, the Income Tax Department team raided the premises of the owner of Pan Masala Company in the city.
During the raid, some more pan masala traders came under the radar who had closed their business in Kanpur.
According to sources, there were big cash transactions between tobacco companies like Kesar and Dilbagh with Embassy Group, which was used for buying properties for real estate.
