Sen. Mike Lee warns in a new book that Democrat threats to pack the Supreme Court could have more historical significance anticipated.
We tend to look back at the failed effort in 1937 and say to ourselves, ‘Oh, we dodged that bullet…’ But I don't think a lot of people have made the connection between… the fear of it succeeding… and exactly what that meant.
He previewed the book in an interview with Fox News Digital, and engaged in some Democrat-bashing on the issue, decrying that liberal academics are "not even trying to hide" their motivations for court-packing.
But the most interesting part of the book, Lee said, is his contrarian take which Supreme Court case actually was "Switch in Time that Saved Nine" – and its historical significance.
