In Constant Dialogue With Employees, Says IndiGo After Mass Sick Leave Protest

A sizeable number of employees in IndiGo's aircraft maintenance technicians team went on sick leave to protest against low salaries and demanded the restoration of salaries that were cut in pandemic.

Amid the mass sick leave protest by IndiGo employees, the airline on Wednesday said it is in the process of addressing issues related to its employee remuneration.

IndiGo released a statement saying that they are in constant dialogue with its employees to take care of any issues or grievances.

The airline's statement comes after a sizeable number of its employees in the aircraft maintenance technicians team went on sick leave to protest against  low salaries and the demand of restoration of salaries that were cut during the COVID-19 pandemic.

"As a responsible employer, IndiGo is in constant dialogue with its employees to take care of any issues or grievances. The aviation industry has undergone a difficult phase over the last 24+ months. As business recovers, we are in the process of addressing some of the issues related to employee remuneration.
