Implement ‘20-point programme’ to transform Tirupati: Chairman

Chairman of Twenty-Point Programme discusses achieving 'Vikasit Tirupati' through PM Modi's 'Vikasit Bharat 2047' and CM Naidu's 'Swarnandhra 2047'.
‘Vikasit Tirupati’ is possible only when Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s goal of ‘Vikasit Bharat 2047’ and AP Chief Minister Nara Chandrababu Naidu’s aim of ‘Swarnandhra 2047’ are achieved, said Lanka Dinakar, Chairman of Twenty-Point Programme (TPP). He conducted a review meeting on implementation of specific schemes and projects in Tirupati district on Saturday.
On the occasion, he directed the district officials to work towards 100 percent implementation of the TPP here to transform the city as ‘Vikasit Tirupati’. The TPP is a set of programmes to improve the quality of life of people by covering a wide range of socio-economic issues, including poverty, employment, education, housing, health, agriculture, land reforms, irrigation and drinking water.
During the review meeting, the TPP Chairman along with Tirupati District Collector S. Venkateswar enquired about the implementation of various Central government sponsored schemes, progress in the implementation of several projects, infrastructure required for devotees and tourists visiting Tirumala and development of Tirupati as a smart city.
He reviewed on utilisation of Atal Mission for Rejuvenation and Urban Transformation (AMRUT) scheme funds, and the implementation of Mahatma Gandhi National Rural Employment Guarantee Scheme (MGNREGS), Jal Jeevan Mission, Gramin Sadak Yojana, Lakhpati Didi, Garib Kalyan Anna Yojana, PM Surya Ghar, PM Awas Yojana, PM Vishwakarma, and other schemes.
