
IMF warns of economic fallout to Ukraine invasion

The International Monetary Fund said it would bring Ukraine's request for $1.4 billion in emergency financing to its executive board as early as next week, the IMF said Saturday.
And it said countries with close economic ties to Russia are also at risk for shortages and supply disruptions. It is in talks with neighboring Moldova for aid options.
"The ongoing war and associated sanctions will also have a severe impact on the global economy," the IMF said.

The House Judiciary Committee is demanding interviews with four current and former Department of Justice officials who were involved in subpoenaing phone records for several members of Congress around the January 6, 2021, Capitol attack, the day before Republicans interview former special counsel Jack Smith.
