IMD predicts heavy rain for several parts of India over next few days

The IMD has predicted heavy rain spells in the North and Northeast over the next few days. States like Bihar, Jharkhand and Uttar Pradesh will receive widespread rainfall in the next two day.
The Indian Meteorological Department (IMD) has forecast heavy rain for the next few days in several parts of the country. According to IMD, fairly widespread or moderate rainfall with thunderstorm and lightning is very likely over Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram and Tripura on Sunday and Monday.
Similar conditions are likely to prevail over Arunachal Pradesh, Assam and Meghalaya during next 5 days. States like Bihar, Jharkhand and Uttar Pradesh too will receive widespread rainfall in the next two day.
"Fairly widespread and moderate rainfall with thunderstorm and lightning is very likely over Himachal Pradesh and Uttarakhand on August 28 and 29. Isolated very heavy rainfall is also likely over Uttarakhand on August 28," the IMD said in a tweet.
