IMD forecasts heavy rainfall in Odisha, authorities asked to take precautionary measures

Following the weather department’s forecast of heavy rain in Odisha between June 10 and June 14, authorities in the state have been asked to take precautionary measures to prevent any damage to life and property.
India Meteorological Department (IMD) centre in Bhubaneswar has forecasted heavy rainfall in the state as the monsoon flow strengthens over the Bay of Bengal and the associated clouds become more organised. The weather department said that a low pressure area is likely to form over the North Bay of Bengal and its neighbourhood around June 11, accelerating the advance of southwest monsoon into West Bengal, Odisha, Bihar, Jharkhand, Chhattisgarh, and Sikkim According to the forecast by Indian Meteorological Department (IMD), southwest monsoon is likely to advance into entire Odisha during the next two to three days.More Related News
