ILT20: MI Emirates announces players for inaugural edition, Kieron Pollard and Dwayne Bravo head list

The MI Emirates on 12th August announced their first list of signings with Kieron Pollard and Dwayne Bravo heading the list of 14 players.
The MI Emirates on 12th August announced its team ahead of the inaugural edition of UAE's International League T20 with the likes of Kieron Pollard, Dwayne Bravo and Nicholas Pooran leading the list.
Apart from the three West Indian stars, New Zealand's Trent Boult, South African legspinner Imran Tahir and English youngster Will Smeed, who recently scored the first century in the history of The Hundred.
In a statement on the Mumbai Indians website, it was announced that the squad will be based out of Abu Dhabi, and will include a mix of current and past MI players, with new stars also joining the squad.
"MI Emirates, today announced its team ahead of the inaugural edition of UAE’s International League T20. The squad will be based in Abu Dhabi and includes a mix of current and past MI players and new players who join the #OneFamily. Kieron Pollard, Dwayne Bravo, Nicholas Pooran and Trent Boult are set to join the MI Emirates ahead of the inaugural edition and will adorn MI’s iconic blue and gold amongst the others," read the statement.

Kieron Pollard, Dwayne Bravo, Nicholas Pooran, Trent Boult, Andre Fletcher, Imran Tahir, Samit Patel, Will Smeed, Jordan Thompson, Najibullah Zadran, Zahir Khan, Fazalhaq Farooqui, Bradley Wheal, Bas De Leede.
Akash Ambani, Chairman of Reliance Jio, opened up about his happiness at signing the group of 14 players. He also hailed Pollard as one of the key pillars of the team and expressed his delight at having retained the services of the West Indian all-rounder.
