
IIT Mandi launches skill-development courses under HPKVN scheme

IIT Mandi is about to launch the skill development under the HPKVN scheme. The courses under this scheme will help the participants to enhance their abilities from industrial, academic, and research perspectives.
With the support of Himachal Pradesh Kaushal Vikas Nigam (HPKVN), India Institute of Technology Mandi's Centre for Continuing Education (CCE) is launching five different short courses aimed at developing the skills of Himachali youth by providing them with practical experience solving real-life engineering problems.
The duration of the course will be one month. The free registration for the courses has already started. Free food, accommodation, and teaching material will be provided by IIT Mandi.
Students and faculty members of technical institutions in Himachal Pradesh who are motivated to excel in their scientific and engineering research pursuits are welcome to enroll in this course, including IT, diploma engineers, engineering students, practicing/working engineers, Post Graduates, and PhD level students can enroll in this.
"Seeing the success of the first course on School Camp on Robotics and Artificial Intelligence (PRAYAS 1.0), we are further launching five new courses to further develop the skills of Himachali Youth in collaboration with HPKVN, Shimla. These courses target specific branches of engineering disciplines, which are helpful to train the young minds of Himachal Pradesh under the mentorship of experts at IIT Mandi and make them ready for the current job market."
For the first time, IIT Mandi has come up with a collaboration with HPKVN for students to impart engineering skills for the benefit of the state. As they will get a chance to get rained in different laboratories within the campus.
