IIT Madras ties up with ACC Ltd, Ambuja Cements on Earth Day for green and sustainable solutions

On Earth Day, IIT Madras tied up with ACC Ltd and Ambuja Cements for green and sustainable solutions.

On Earth Day 2021, IIT Madras has partnered with ACC Ltd and Ambuja Cements Ltd, the main operating companies of the cement major LafargeHolcim in India, to develop green and sustainable building solutions. The rising global demand for building materials substantiates the need for sustainable solutions. This academic collaboration is born out of the Company’s vision to re-invent how the world is built to make it greener, smarter and sustainable for all. The collaborative research study will be financially aided by LafargeHolcim Innovation Centre (LHIC) focusing on ‘Binder Optimization for Alternate Reinforcements’.
