A 22-year-old MTech student from the Indian Institutes of Technology Hyderabad (IIT-H) died by suicide allegedly over the stress of not getting a job.
The deceased, identified as G Rahul, ended his life inside his hostel room on August 31.
In the suicide note, he purportedly wrote that the premier institute had failed to learn from the three suicides reported on the campus in 2019.
But the reports claimed that the man was under stress of not getting a job.
Talking about the incident, DSP Sangareddy said, "It was established from the investigation that he was not interested in life. He got an MTech seat but due to COVID he was not getting a job after B.Tech."
