Google Fit app for iOS has received a couple of interesting features that would track the heart rate of users and count the number of breaths they take using the camera.
Google Fit for iOS has got some interesting updates. The app reportedly can track and measure the heart rate of the user using the iPhone camera. The user is required to place their finger on the rear camera leans and apply light pressure to get measure their heart rate. Users apparently do not need an active internet connection to make the feature work. Google Fit’s heart and the respiratory feature were first rolled out to the Pixel phones.
9to5Google was the first to report that the iOS users will soon get the heat and repository tracking feature on the Google Fit app. The report says that users will have to place their finger on the iPhone camera, turn on the flash to let the Google Fit app measure their heart rate. Turning on the flash would reportedly increase the accuracy.
