If Param Bir Singh can get protection from arrest by SC, why not Hrishikesh: Anil Deshmukh's son's lawyer to Mumbai court
India Today
The advocate representing Anil Deshmukh's son argued that if Param Bir Singh could get protection from arrest, then why not Hrishikesh Deshmukh.
Former Maharashtra Home Minister Anil Deshmukh's son Hrishikesh Deshmukh's advocate Inderpal Singh while arguing for an anticipatory bail plea, prayed for his client's interim protection from arrest. Singh submitted that Deshmukh was an innocent citizen, with no criminal antecedents and was willing to co-operate in the investigation.
Singh argued that if the Supreme Court could protect Param Bir Singh, former Mumbai police commissioner, despite being a proclaimed offender, the Sessions Court could also grant protection to the applicant, an innocent citizen.
