ICC U19 World Cup: Afghanistan's delayed arrival in West Indies forces change in schedule of tournament

ICC U-19 World Cup 2022: The schedule of as many as 4 matches was changed to accommodate the Afghanistan U-19 team that arrived late in the West Indies for the showpiece event.

The fixtures of ICC U-19 World Cup in the West Indies underwent changes after the Afghanistan team arrived in the region. Afghanistan managed to obtain the necessary travel permission and arrived in the region for the 50-over showpiece event, starting January 14.

"After successfully obtaining the necessary visas for travel, Afghanistan will arrive in the West Indies and undergo their required quarantine period," the ICC said in a media release.
