T20 World Cup Final, Australia vs New Zealand: New Zealand hold an edge over Australia in the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup as the two sides have met each other once and the Blackcaps emerged victorious.
Kane Williamson-led New Zealand will look to stretch their unbeaten run over Australia when they take on Aaron Finch's side in the big finale of the ICC Men's T20 World Cup in Dubai on Sunday. Notably, the Blackcaps faced their trans-Tasman rivals in the only match in the history of the T20 World Cup and emerged victorious in the coveted tournament.
Australia hold the upper hand over the reigning world Test champions in overall T20 meetings, but the Black Caps won their only meeting in the World Cup back in the 2016 edition in India. Their last meeting in a World Cup final, in the 50-over format in 2015, was bossed by the Aussies, who have not won an ICC event since then.
