The ICC on Monday refuted claims made by a news channel in its documentary that India's Test matches against England in 2016 and Australia in 2017 were fixed. It also clared the names of five people who were filmed by the news channel.
The International Cricket Council on Monday dismissed claims made by a popular news channel about India's Test matches against England in 2016 and Australia in 2017 were fixed. The ICC said the passages identified as fixed by the news channel was "implausible as a fix". Al Jazeera in a documentary -- 'Cricket's Match Fixers' -- released in 2018 had claimed that India's game against England in Chennai in 2016 and the one against Australia in 2017 in Ranchi were fixed. The ICC had launched an investigation into the claims made by the news channel's documentary. It also cleared five people filmed by the channel, saying there was no credible evidence to prove they did anything wrong despite behaving in a questionable manner.More Related News
