
ICC bids farewell to diplomat

Doha: Indian Cultural Center along with apex bodies ISC, IBPC, and ICBF jointly bid farewell to First Secretary (Culture and Education) at the Embassy of India, Hemant Kumar Dwivedi, who is taking up a new assignment in his next mission assigned by Government of India after completing his stay in Qatar since 2017. Krishna Kumar, ICC General Secretary, delivered the welcome speech. Sudhir Gupta was compering the proceedings.
The evening started with students performing a welcome dance choreographed by Kalamandalam Matilda Solomon. The farewell ceremony was addressed by Xavier Dhanraj, co-ordinating officer at the Indian embassy for the ICC, and attended by SRH Fahmi, Capt Mohan Atla, Dr. Sona Soman, Padma Karri along with their families. Apex body presidents PN Babu Rajan of ICC, Dr. Mohan Thomas of ISC, Azim Abbas of IBPC, and Ziad Usman of ICBF shared their experiences and association with Hemant. Indian School Presidents and ICC Immediate Past managing Committee also attend the function. Hassan Chougle, JK Menon, Manikanthan and other Indian community leaders spoke about their experiences and spent good times with Hemant. All Apex presidents jointly presented a memento and also presented souvenirs by respective bodies. The ceremony was concluded with a vote of thanks by Subramanya Hebbagelu VP, ICC.More Related News
