IAF officer rape case: NCW condemns Air Force doctors for conducting 2-finger test on survivor

The National Commission for Women has taken cognisance of the woman IAF officer, who alleged she was raped by a colleague, being subjugated to two-finger test by Air Force doctors.
The National Commission for Women (NCW) on Thursday "strongly condemned" the action of Indian Air Force (IAF) doctors for subjecting a woman officer to the banned two-finger test after she lodged a rape complaint against a fellow IAF officer.
In a press note, the NCW said it has taken cognisance of the woman Air Force officer being subjugated to the two-finger test. "The NCW expressed utter disappointment and strongly condemned the action of Indian Air Force doctors for violating the right to privacy and dignity of the victim," the letter read.
