Daughters Kritika and Tarini immersed the ashes of their parents, Chief of Defence Staff (CDS) General Bipin Rawat and Madhulika Rawat, in the Ganga river.
The ashes of Chief of Defence Staff (CDS) General Bipin Rawat and his wife Madhulika were immersed in the Ganga in Haridwar on Saturday. The general's daughters - Kritika and Tarini, collected their parents' ashes from Brar Square crematorium in Delhi Cantonment and reached Haridwar to immerse them in the Ganges. While, some of the mortal remains will be immersed by family members and friends in five different river confluences in Uttarakhand - known as ‘Panch Prayags’ - in the next few days. The daughters had performed their parents' last rites on Friday.
