Vaccination in rural areas is a major cause of concern for the state governments as many in interior areas are still hesitant to take the vaccine due to certain misconceptions. India Today visited a village in UP's Lucknow, read on to know more about the ground reality.
"I will die if I take the Covid-19 vaccine," said 35-year-old Pooja, a resident of Pakara Bazargaon village in Uttar Pradesh's Lucknow, where the vaccination drive is underway at a primary health care centre. Pooja along with her husband believe that the vaccine is harmful and have decided to not take it ever. But this is not just their story. This is how most of the residents of the village react when asked to take the coronavirus vaccine shot. Vaccination in rural areas is a major concern for the state governments as many in interior areas are still hesitant to take the vaccine due to certain misconceptions. Pooja said that she took the decision of not taking the vaccine shot because her neighbours told her that that people are facing major side effects and some are even dying after taking the jab.More Related News
