I-T department attaches flat of former advisor to Maharashtra CM Uddhav Thackeray

India Today was the first to report that Ajoy Mehta's Nariman Point apartment was under the scanner of the I-T department over benami transactions on July 20.
The Income Tax (I-T) department has provisionally attached the Nariman Point apartment of former Maharashtra chief secretary Ajoy Mehta under the Prohibition of Benami Property Transactions Act, 1988.
India Today was the first to report that Ajoy Mehta's Nariman Point apartment was under the scanner of the I-T department over benami transactions on July 20. Ajoy Mehta was also the advisor to Maharashtra Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray. He was appointed the MahaRera chairman in February.
