I'm a lobbyist, not a conman: Sukesh Chandrashekhar in letter to lawyer from Tihar jail
India Today
In a letter to his lawyer from inside Tihar jail, extortion accused Sukesh Chandrashekhar has claimed that he is a "corporate lobbyist" and not a "conman" as is being alleged.
Sukesh Chandrashekhar has objected to him being referred to as a 'conman'. The 32-year-old has been accused of impersonating government officials from June 2020 to May 2021 to extort Rs 215 crore from Aditi Singh, the wife of the owner of Ranbaxy.
In a letter he wrote to his advocate from inside the jail, Sukesh Chandrashekhar claimed once again that he was in a relationship with actor Jacqueline Fernandez, which is why he gave her gifts worth crores. India Today has accessed a copy of the letter.
