'I don't support it': Manchin will vote against new DC revision reducing penalties on violent crime
Fox News
Democrat Senator Joe Manchin does not support the D.C. city council pushing to reduce penalties on crime in the city and said he will vote in favor of the disapproval resolution.
"I don’t support it. I mean, I want to put people away, I don’t want to let them out," Manchin told CNN of the revision Monday. "I haven’t been briefed on it, but what I know about it, I would vote to rescind it." Aubrie Spady is a Freelance Production Assistant for Fox News Digital.
"None of that makes sense to me," the senator, who is up for re-election in 2024, told the outlet.
