Union Minister Rajeev Chandrasekhar slammed former RBI governor Raghuram Rajan, saying maximum NPA's and meltdown of financial structure took place under his charge.
Union Minister Rajeev Rajeev Chandrasekhar on Sunday slammed former Reserve Bank of India Governor Raghuram Rajan, saying that he did not consider him an expert on economics.
While addressing a press conference in Uttar Pradesh's Kanpur, Minister of State for Electronics and Information Technology Rajeev Chandrashekhar spoke on the hijab controversy and claimed that the government created 5 crore jobs.
On former RBI governor Raghuram Rajan, he said, "I don't consider him an expert on economics. A maximum number of NPA's took place when he was the RBI governor. The meltdown of our financial structure and NPA crisis happened when he was in charge."
The BJP leader criticised former UP Chief Minister Akhilesh Yadav, sarcastically calling the Samajwadi Party chief an expert on economics for raising questions about the job crisis. He claimed that 5 crore jobs were created by the Indian government before the Covid pandemic.
On AIMIM chief Asaduddin Owaisi's tweet on the hijab row, he said, "Those who are politicising this issue and provoking people on the internet should answer what is the hurry to make such statements when the matter is in court. They should rather wait for Karnataka High Court's decision."
on reports of a class 12 student from Kashmir being trolled and getting threat messages, he said, "Being an IT Minister, I want to warn everyone who is trying to provoke people through the internet. Strict action under the Indian Penal Code will be taken against them as this is a criminal offence."
