
Hyundai India to launch 6 new electric vehicles by 2028, invest Rs 4,000 crore towards expansion

According to the company, Hyundai will work towards the development of a concrete BEV roadmap that will breathe life into the electrification ecosystem in India, focusing on localization of manufacturing synergies for BEVs.
Hyundai India is switching to overdrive mode with its strategy to expand its electric vehicle range in India, as it announced 6 new EVs to be introduced by 2028, besides investing Rs 4,000 crore towards developing these new models, and developing the charging infrastructure in the country. Hyundai will also introduce its globally acclaimed E-GMP modular platform to India along with modified platforms to drive the adoption of Battery Electric Vehicles (BEVs) with a strong focus on local manufacturing synergies. The move shows the South Korean carmaker’s commitment towards India and its commitment towards expanding its electric vehicle portfolio in the country, which consists of only the Hyundai Kona Electric.
