Hyderabad’s Balapur Ganesh laddu auctioned for whopping Rs 18.90 lakh

Hyderabad’s most popular 21kg Balapur Ganesh laddu was auctioned for an all-time record price of Rs 18.90 lakh. The auction took place on Sunday. Around 19 people had participated in the auction and bidding for the laddu started at Rs 1,116. The Balapur laddu auction is held every year on the final day of the immersion of the Lord Ganesha idol.

YSR Congress MLC RV Ramesh Yadav from Kadapa, Andhra Pradesh and his partner Marri Shashank Reddy bagged the laddu this year.
