More than 500 Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC) employees have been tested Covid positive.
Over the past week, more than 500 Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC) employees have been tested Covid positive. The civic body’s work is being affected very badly due to Covid cases.
The GHMC employees were given both shots of the Covid vaccine but still, their testing came positive. According to the officials, those who are infected are not facing critical health issues as they are getting recovered from the infection within 5 to 7 days.
The health officials have decided to carry out testing of Asha workers and those employees who are conducting the fever survey. Their testing will be completed within a week.
Those found with symptoms will be tested on a priority basis.
The Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC) is going to provide booster doses to over 60 years’ age citizens with comorbidities at their homes.
This decision has been taken up in the wake of the government's aim to complete 100 percent in precautionary dose doses for those over 60 years of age. The concerned zone officials would come door to door to provide vaccinations for the elderly.
