Hyderabad man set ablaze dies while undergoing treatment; three detained

Hyderabad Police have detained three people for setting ablaze a 25-year-old man. Adil, the victim, was set on fire by Mohammad and his two friends on Friday night. He died on Sunday, while he was being treated at a hospital for third-degree burns.
Adil, a 25-year-old man, was set ablaze by three people inside the Institute of Mental Health (IMH) at Erragadda in Hyderabad, on Friday night. He died on Sunday, while undergoing treatment.
Hyderabad Police have detained three people and are questioning them, reported The New Indian Express.
Upon investigation, it was discovered that the accused and the victim were earlier involved in property offences. As per police reports, Adil resided in the Old Quarters of the IMH campus. When he was at a hotel near AG Colony on Friday night, the accused Mohammed and his associates, Sohail and Azhar, came to him.
After a short conversation, they took him with them on their bikes and went near the Prisons ward on the IMH premises. Upon arriving, the three of them doused Adil with petrol, set him ablaze and ran away.
Adil raised a cry, which was heard by the nearby residents. Adil was shifted to the Osmania Hospital for treatment, where he died of third-degree burns on Sunday.
