Hyatt Regency Mumbai temporarily suspends operations citing lack of funds

Hyatt Regency Mumbai said it is suspending operations till further notice. In a statement, the luxury hotel said it has not been getting funds from its owners to pay salaries or run operations.
Global hospitality firm Hyatt Hotels Corporation temporarily suspended operations at Hyatt Regency hotel in Mumbai and said the property will remain closed till further notice. The luxury hotel had released a statement on Monday to inform that it has no funds to “enable payment of salaries or to support the operations at the hotel”. "As a result of no funds forthcoming from Asian Hotels (West) Ltd, the owner of Hyatt Regency Mumbai, to sustain the operations of the hotel, a decision has been taken to temporarily suspend all operations for Hyatt Regency Mumbai," Hyatt said in a statement.More Related News
