Husband now person of interest in missing California mom’s case

The husband of a California mom who vanished before a trip for her daughter’s birthday is now considered a person of interest in her disappearance — and the case is being handled as a criminal investigation, according to new court documents.

Investigators began eyeing Larry Millete in the Jan. 7 disappearance of his wife, Maya Millete, from their Chula Vista home after he stopped cooperating with authorities, according to court documents obtained by CBS8. The documents describe Maya’s disappearance as a “criminal investigation,” the outlet reported.
