Hrithik Roshan has shared a special connection between The Lord Of The Rings and Krrish. Here's what the actor said.
Everyone is waiting with bated breath for the release of The Lord Of The Rings: The Rings Of Power. For those unaware, The Rings Of Power is the prequel of the The Lord Of The Rings franchise, which has three parts. The Rings Of Power is all set to premiere on Amazon Prime Video on September 2, 2022, in India. Ahead of its release, a grand press conference for the series was held in Mumbai. At the press con, Hrithik Roshan said, "If there was no The Lord Of The Rings, there would be no Krrish."
Sharing his thoughts about the trailer of The Rings Of Power, Hrithik said, "Oh! I think the trailer speaks for itself. This is the kind of stuff that I aspire for. It is a visual extravaganza meeting [with] great content."
Revealing the special connection between LOTR and Krrish, the actor added, "There's a little connection between me and The Lord Of The Rings that I don't think anybody knows. On one random day in 2004, my dad put on The Lord Of The Rings part 1. He saw the film and couldn't stop. He saw part 2 and couldn't stop and saw part 3. And then he gave me a call and he couldn't stop talking about the way they used this incredible idea and then had this progression which was so incredible. [And he asked] 'Why can't we do that?' So I said, 'ya but what are you talking about?' Then, he said 'Why can't we take Koi... Mil Gaya, which is one of our previous films, and have a progression?' And that was the birth of Krrish. So, if there was no The Lord Of The Rings, there would be no Krrish."
Meanwhile, on the work front, Hrithik was last seen in War with Tiger Shroff. Next, he will be starring in Vikram Vedha with Saif Ali Khan. The film is scheduled for release in 2022. Post that, Hrithik has Fighter with Deepika Padukone lined up in the pipeline.
