India head coach Ravi Shastri revealed how he insisted captain Virat Kohli and selectors not to use Jasprit Bumrah on Indian pitches in Test cricket. Bumrah made his Test debut against South Africa in Cape Town in 2018.

At present, Jasprit Bumrah is probably India’s best cricketer in all the three formats, but there was a time when cricket experts tipped him as a white-ball bowler.
