An officer, who had stepped out to get his pizza delivery, first spotted the white Swift car parked really close to the office which was gone right after the explosion. The police are now on the lookout for the car.
A pizza delivery to the Punjab Police’s intelligence headquarters in Mohali, minutes before a rocket-like attack on the building, may have given the police their first clues and suspects - two people in a Maruti Swift.
Around 7:45 pm last evening, a rocket-propelled grenade, or an RPG, landed on the third floor of the intelligence HQ, shattering the glass window and causing a part of the false ceiling to collapse on impact.
Just minutes before the explosion, an intelligence officer had gone out to get a pizza delivery, India Today TV has learnt.
As he stepped out of the gate, the officer noticed a white Swift car parked close to the office; there is a big car parking in front of the intelligence HQ. The moment he went back in with the pizza, the RPG had been fired and by the time he rushed out, the car was gone. This led the Punjab Police to zero in on this car.

Besides going through CCTV footage of the area and nearly 7,000 mobile phone dumps in the locality, intelligence sources said that they believe the small-sized RPG could have been drone-dropped near the International Borer (IB).
Another top officer of the Punjab Police said that Khalistani terrorist Harvinder Singh “Rinda” was likely behind the attack. Although it is premature to conclusively say, going by the pattern of attacks on the security establishment, Rinda's hand cannot be ruled out, the officer said. Teams are working closely on this but the past pattern of attacks on police stations have been planned by him from across the border, he added.
