Hospitalised due to Covid, former West Bengal CM Buddhadeb Bhattacharjee’s health condition now stable

Former West Bengal chief minister Buddhadeb Bhattacharjee, who was admitted to Woodlands Hospital in Kolkata earlier this week after being diagnosed with Covid-19, is stable, according to a statement issued by the hospital. Bhattacharjee, 77, had tested Covid positive on May 18 and was rushed to the hospital on May 25 after his condition took a turn for the worse. Upon receiving treatment, his blood pressure and heart rate have stabilised and he is conscious, alert and talking. The veteran politician, who also suffers from chronic obstructive pulmonary disease, presented with drowsiness and shortness of breath and has been kept on intermittent BIPAP with three litres of oxygen and SpO2 maintaining at 92 per cent.More Related News
