Home Ministry transfers JMB terror module case to NIA

On March 13, Madhya Pradesh ATS arrested four alleged JMB operatives on suspicion of preparing a remote base for sleeper cells for the banned terror outfit. The Home Ministry has decided to hand over the case to NIA.
The Home Ministry on Tuesday handed over the Jamaat-ul-Mujahideen Bangladesh (JMB) module case to the NIA.
On March 13, Madhya Pradesh STF raided a house in Ahmed Ali Colony, near Fatima Masjid and arrested four persons who were allegedly preparing sleeper cells for the JMB organisation.
The JMB organization is banned by the Indian government.
During the raid on the suspected terrorists' hideout, police recovered a huge amount of radical literature, electronic equipment and suspicious documents, currently being scanned by the NIA.
Jamaat-ul-Mujahideen-Bangladesh is a terrorist organisation that carried out about 500 small bomb blasts in the year 2005 at 300 locations in 50 cities and towns of Bangladesh.
Meanwhile, the NIA has registered an FIR in the case.
