Home Minister V. Anitha promises industrial growth and employment opportunities in Payakaraopeta, Anakapalli district in the next 10 years.
Home Minister and Payakaraopeta MLA V. Anitha has said that Payakaraopeta will be see industrial development in the lines of Gajuwaka in the coming 10 years. She said that the bulk drug unit and steel plant in the district could attract investments worth over ₹11,000 crore, adding that the projects will also generate huge employment for the locals.
Ms Anitha conducted a review meeting to discuss about various development programmes, implementation of welfare schemes and pending civic issues with the officials from various departments in Payakaraopeta constituency in Anakapalli district, on Friday.
During the meeting, Ms Anitha said that works for the Polavaram project are also on pace. She said that during the years 2014-19, development works worth about ₹1,500 crore were taken up in Payakaraopeta constituency. She alleged that in the last five years, the constituency was completely ignored.
Earlier, the Home Minister visited Vempadu in her constituency. She interacted with people from various walks of life. Several people brought the issue of irregular drinking water supply to her notice and Ms. Anitha promised to solve the problem in the next 15 days.
